Hey everyone! I’m very sorry that i haven’t made any new blog posts lately, but I think I will be making a hole lot more in June and during the summer(since I’m out of school June 29th!).
Here is some kind of sad news(well not really). I COULDN’T finish Hunger Games!!!!!! Its not that I was too lazy or had other things to do, but its just that it was a little bit too much for me because it was kind of intense at parts since it was pretty much about some kids that were put into this place and had to kill each other to survive! Weird! I mean, at first it was good then almost half way through the second part it started getting “annoying” and a bit boring! So thats pretty much why i didn’t finish it. 
Anyways. I haven’t finished Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban yet! Uh Oh! But I’m still going to do the challenge of the month! So here I go….The song that I chose for this book is…mmhhhhmmm…..uuhhhh……well as you can probably tell it was a little bit hard to choose! So I’m just going to have to go with the Harry Potter theme song (for the movies). Not very exciting right?What song would you choose for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban????………….I know, its hard to find one.

Oh my!
I’m soooooo sorry for not putting up any NEW blog posts for the last 1 and 1/2 weeks!!! I think it’s because I’ve caught the “lazy bug”!
What’s “the lazy bug” you ask? Well, I’ll keep it simple….It’s when you get REALLY lazy!
Some people might say, well how do you know when you get “the lazy bug”? The answer to that question is VERY simple, you might not care about your school work (homework) anymore, you also might not want to get out of bed in the morning, or the worst side effect is that you will be too “lazy” TO READ! Now that’s TERRIBLE!!!! ACCHOO!!
I’ve been wanting to do a new blog post for a long time, but I’ve been too “lazy” to do it! So that’s why I’m writing one now! I will try to read the rest of my book(s) a.s.a.p so I can FINALLY do another book review! And again, I’m VERY VERY VERY sorry about not writing any new blog posts.
I hope YOU don’t catch the “lazy bug”!!! hehe!

I LOVE challenging myself, especially when it comes to reading! So, I’ve decided to call a reading challenge on the 1st of every month. Every challenge will last from the 1st to the last day of that month. If you want to join me in these challenges that’s awesome, however if you don’t want to that’s okay too. Or if you don’t know yet, then just check back here at the beginning of every month to find out what the latest challenge is. If you take me up on the challenge leave me a comment to let me know!

The Lightning Thief

For my first review I was going to do my mom’s book (SMUDGE’S MARK) but I don’t want this to be a biased blog.
So, I’ve decided to do my first review on THE LIGHTNING THIEF by Rick Riordan. This book is about a boy named Percy Jackson who is a demi god (half human half god) and his father is Poseiden but at the beginning of the book he doesn’t know that. As the story goes on he figures out who he is and goes on a special quest(with his best friends Grover and Annabeth) to find Zeus’ lightning bolt, which he has been accused of stealing! Some of the characters that Percy meets are Dionysus, Medusa, Ares, Hades, Zeus, and his dad (Poseiden).
I enjoyed this book. It was a fast paced adventure where Percy and his friends kept getting themselves into trouble and having to find their way out. Percy was a really funny character, but Dionysus (the director of Camp Half Blood, the camp that Percy stayed at for the summer) was my favourite character. I found him to be very sarcastic and funny in the way that he spoke. He was also very suspicious at times.
The only thing I wish is that the chapters would have been a little bit shorter because it took a long time to read the book and I had to stop in the middle of chapters sometimes – which I HATE doing!
Even though the chapters were long I would still recommend this book to anyone who is in the mood for a good read and who enjoys getting lost in a story, which I do all the time!

Sooo…this is my first blog post and my first blog. When I put up other posts many of them will be reviews about books and anything else that has to do with books or what I’m reading. Mainly the books that I will be reviewing are Childrens Novels or Young adult (teen) Novels. The books will also vary in different genres, like romance, adventure, mystery…..e.t.c.
